The Performance Golf Degree programme has been designed to present higher education students with an opportunity to develop their golf to the highest level whilst studying for a future career in the golf industry.

PERFORMANCE GOLF TRAINING PROGRAMME
The Performance Golf Degree offers an excellent golf specific training programme running alongside the Sports Performance and Analysis degree delivered by a team of expert academics
and coaches with an impressive track record of achieving success.
The golf coaching and training support programme is delivered by a highly accomplished group of coaches and support staff including:
Steve Astle – Technical Long Game
James Whatley – Technical Short Game & Putting
Dr. Brian Hemmings - Psychology
Nigel Furniss – Performance Measurement & Lifestyle Planning
Peter Swailes - Physical
Tom Outram – Biomechanical Assessment
We also have guest visits from leading coaches such as Graham Walker the England National Coach and industry experts who work on the European Tour and for leading golf equipment manufacturers.
We use and have access to cutting edge technology through the University's Human Perfomance Unit which includes state of the art high speed cameras for bio-mechanical assessment along with Flightscope and SAM Putt Lab to ensure the student receives all the necessary information to enable them to take their games to a higher level.
You will receive access to the Performance Golf Training programme weekly whilst undertaking your study. You will also have the chance to compete in National Leagues & Championships and undertake Warm Weather Training abroad.
EDUCATION – FdSc Sports Performance and Analysis
Based at Derby University the educational programme aims to enable you to develop a knowledge and understanding of sports coaching in a specified context.
Through traditional academic study with practical application and work based learning the course is deliverred in blocks and can be designed to meet your needs.

Foundation Degree =Two years Full Time
The course offers an option to progress to complete a third year and obtain a full degree in BSc (Hons) Performance Analysis and Coaching Science.
